Michelle's Soul Food is the Absolute Best I've EVER had!!! Fried Chicken is out of this world. I try to come every Friday and always bring a friend. My friends are also very happy with Michelle's cooking & have been back several times. My fav is the fried chicken, cat fcollard greens & Mac n cheese!!! I highly recommend this place for good southern food!!
Ps Kaila W I don't know where exactly you ate because Michelle hasn't had Peach Cobbler in 3 months. I know because I ask her every time I come. The reason why is because she uses fresh peaches when they are in season. Wondering if you're perhaps a Competitor??? If so, that is just shady & wrong! -

Excellent food, large portions, super friendly, cooked quickly.
Only open Thursday and Friday, in a lodge-style building on Del Monte right after Fremont splits off, immediately after the hotel in the right. Parking is a bit tight.
Everything is served in takeout containers, which is great because they give you so much the you'll take some home. They offer sweet tea in a large thermos container, and they ran out as we were leaving. I'm not sure if they sell drinks, most people came in for take-out.
I had Fried Catfish (very crunchy), mac n cheese, and candied yams. While the sides were awesome, the fish would have gone better with two of their other sides: black eyed peas and coleslaw. My buddy got those with his oxtail, and we ate family style. Each meal was @ $15.
Overall, we'll be back but will opt for take-out. It's not more than a 5 minutes wait if you get there at 5:00pm. Just some fantastic food. -

Great little spot, hidden in a bar. Plan accordingly, cause you're going to wait. I think it took an hour to get my order. I went early, expecting a little wait. But I didn't realize how little it was, and the flow of ppl just keep coming...
But that just reassures you it's a great place to eat.
My one and only complain!
Putting hot food in plastic Togo containers I'm pretty sure it actually says on the packaging not for hot food. Chemicals from the plastic leach into the food. Also alters the flavor of the food.
Aside from that it was excellent. Flavor, seasonings... they know what they're doing! Very impressed with the Mac and cheese. And I'm very picky! Fried chicken was so good. Really bummed pork chop sold out, I'm pretty sure it was the ppl who ordered right before me too. -

Sooooooo eff'n good!!!! Smothered chops w/rice, greens, cornbread & mac and cheese. Crystal hot sauce, utensils and napkins without even askin'. All served with a smile for under $15.

I'm glad someone below made a comment about the place because we almost didn't come in LOL, so thank you yelper! Michelle's kitchen is the place to be for some hardy real food!!!!
Come in and try it all! Mouth watering apple pie & peach cobbler! All made from scratch!!! Food is served hot so do a taste test before you put the whole entire spoon in your mouth!! Lol
